This 3 day course is delivered by CASCAIDr through legal experts in the field of social care law and adult safeguarding and includes
- key aspects of the Care Act 2014
- from assessment and eligibility to lawful care planning
- considering the resoucre scare contexts experienced by staff
- addresses the interface between homlessness, addiction, criminal justice with adult safeguarding law, policy and practice
The trainers are:
Belinda Schwehr and Fiona Bateman
Belinda is the CEO at CASCAIDr and practised as a barrister, then taught Public Law in University Law School. She developed a specialist practice in Adults’ social services, mental capacity, health care law and human rights.
Fiona is an experienced solicitor with expert knowledge of health and social care law and safeguarding responsibilities. She has advised and represented clients in public and private law challenges relating to social care responsibilities.
