About this Event
This course consists of 3 sessions; you need to attend all sessions to complete the learning:
Session 1: Friday 11th September 2020 9.30am – 12
Session 2: Friday 18th September 2020 9.30am – 12
Session 3: Friday 25th September 2020 9.30am – 12
The course is delivered online via Zoom: when you have a confirmed ticket to attend you will receive the link to the sessions via e-mail prior to each session.
Learning Objectives
1. Understand complex trauma, its potential impact and the importance of trauma informed care (TIC)
2. Describe the 5 elements of a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE)
3. Identify actions to start providing a trauma responsive, psychologically informed workplace
During 3 sessions of 2 ½ hours over 1 month we will;
- Define and understand the impact of complex, community and vicarious trauma
- Identify ACEs which influence health and social outcomes
- Consider the role of attachment and relationships in shaping our behaviour
- Learn the 5 elements of a PIE (PETER)
- Get curious about your organisations strengths and identify how to do more of what works
- Introduce new tools and language to embed a trauma informed response
